1st ICACI

1st International Conference on Asian Catastrophe Insurance

The first International Conference on Asian Catastrophe Insurance took place on the 3rd and 4th of December 2007 at the clock tower of Kyoto University. The conference offered a unique opportunity to hear from and meet the top experts in the field of catastrophe insurance. Participants included distinguished researchers from the academia, govermental and global developement organizations and from the most prestigious private organizations in the field such as ABS Consulting, Willis Re, Guy Carpenter, Flagstone Re and Tokio Marine Nichido. Presentations were given by professors from Kyoto University, specialists from the World Bank, the Japanese Government, the Indian Government and from top executives and specialist of several private organizations. It was a very interesting and reward conference for myself. I'm looking forward to the second conference! Until then, please enjoy some photographs from the conference taken by Dr. Masamitsu Onishi and Dr. Emine Yetiskul of our lab.
