My research focuses on the development and improvement of theoretical models, which enable to forecast the deterioration process of the infrastructure facilities, to estimate the expected cumulative life cycle cost over the life span of facilities. Especially, the research emphasizes on problems of infrastructure management system in developing countries, where the behaviors of those system are subjected to be under a wide range of differences due to various local conditions. An example could be a model to search for a most appropriate pavement technology and management policies, which yields the best outcome in term of cost-benefit comparison. The study requires a comprehensive understanding and application of stochastic modeling and optimization approach.
