BACKGROUND AND SCOPE
Water is definitely the base for sustainable societies. Limited access to water is commonly acknowledged that water problems affect the poor adversely in terms of their ‘livelihoods’, ‘health’, and ‘vulnerability’. However, despite improved water resources management all over the world in the last couple decades, there are still about 1.4 billion people without an adequate supply of drinking water and about 3 billion people without adequate sanitation services.  In order to actualize sustainable community welfare development in the rapid growth Asian region, it is necessary to secure inherent of relations between actors and among actors of water system with an appropriate institutional social structure. In this circumstance, social capital is catching the attention as a methodology for developing and strengthening an enormous amount of social structures in Asian countries. However, practitioners and researchers in the Asian region never held a meeting to discuss the current situation of social capital on water usage in Asian countries. The representatives of each Asian country are requested to formalize in writing the following topics:
1.        Social Structure & Institution in Community
2.        Water Policy & Organization Agency
3.        Community Managed Water System
4.        Sustainable Water Management
5.        Water Usage Model
6.        Future Perspective   

OBJECTIVES
Key objectives of the seminar are:
・ To seize current situation and perspectives of each country
・ To explore the complexity of water usage as priceless social capital
・ To discuss new concepts and paradigms in water resources management and sustainable development schemes
In addition, this seminar will be utilized as the opportunity to glean basic information for
(1) extracting political and technical problems regarding social capital on water usage in each country and
(2) finding common issues in the entire Asian region, through the comparative analysis among three countries.
 

LANGUAGE
The official language of the seminar is English.   

PAPER
Authors are invited to submit full paper, relating to the conference themes. The paper should be written in English (in MS word format only) All papers should be structured as follows:
・ Title : The title should be short, preferably less than 15 words.
・ Author(s) : Provide contact details for the authors including names, surnames, organization/company, phone/fax no., e-mail and full postal address.
・      -    Abstracts :Provide a short summary the whole content of  paper 
・ Keywords : Provide up to 5 keywords.
・ Introduction : Short summary of relevant background and problem addressed.
・ Objectives : Define the “tangible and measurable” objectives of the work presented in the paper.
・ Methodology : Describe briefly the methodology that use to achieve the  objectives.
・ Results : Describe briefly the present & future perspectives.
      ・ Conclusion:
Provide a short summary of the results
